Turn south-west into Tihi Street and then south-east into Tauomo Crescent. Turn south- west and follow a line to include Gollan Road, Harding Avenue and 450 Ellerslie-Panmure Highway. Travel west along the centre of Lunn Avenue (odd numbers included) to the intersection with Ngahue Drive.
Travel north-east along both sides of Ngahue Drive into Donnelly Street, along College Road (both sides) to the intersection with St Johns Road then follow St Johns Road (excluded) back to the starting point at Felton Mathew Avenue.
School Zone Decision
The Establishment Board of Trustees has now met and after carefully considering each submission, both written and made in person at the Board’s meeting on 20 April, and taking into account the statutory requirements of the Education Act, has made a decision regarding the school’s home zone and enrolment policy. The Board’s decision is attached. Please note that this is a recommendation only to the Ministry of Education. The Ministry has the final decision making authority in this matter.
All submissions received were sent to the Ministry with the Board’s recommendation.
I am pleased to inform you that the Ministry of Education has now confirmed the Board’s recommendation, with minor amendments to the description relating to College Road (deleting the words “the extension of” and “(yet to be formed)”; and making the boundary go along the centre of Lunn Avenue, odd numbers only included.
The Board is now required to formally resolve to adopt the enrolment scheme which includes the home zone, as approved by the Ministry, following which the decision will be publicly notified in the local newspaper. That will complete the statutory process.
I also advise that the Board has now confirmed the name of the school, also at its meeting held on 20 April, and this name was approved by the Ministry of Education on 22 April, as Stonefields School.
Yours sincerely,
Colin Davis
Chairman
